{ About me }

Hey, I’m Anna Tookey and I’m an undergraduate Game Developer from the United Kingdom. Currently, I am studying my bachelors in the United Arab Emirates, but the plan is to venture back home to pursue a masters degree in Computer Science.

 

Since I have started my bachelors at SAE Dubai, I’ve been learning the fundamentals of programming as well as important project management requirements.

 

Throughout my time within this field, I have been appointed project lead on various game development projects, showcased one of my games at the gaming convention in Abu Dhabi, experimented with the essence of game design and tried my hand at making some basic models in 3DS Max.

{ Current Projects }

These are the current projects I am working on, these projects are not finished and will be expanded on in my development logs. The screenshots are taken from early alpha footage of the game.

 

lowPolySheep

Highlands

Team lead on the project, Highlands is a 3D walking simulator. The game is focused towards telling a story and spreading a message and expressing that through the environment as well as simplistic artificial intelligence.  

 

Within this project, we are trialled on our project management, group work, collaborating with different degrees/ industries as well as showcasing our game to industry professionals. 

 

We are employing the agile development method to track progress and plan for the weeks ahead. All development information will be added to the website in the form of blog posts.

Bloomsday

Team lead on the project, Is a 3D puzzle game The game follows a small sunflower which falls out of the sunlight into the depths of an abandoned factory

 

The sunflower will progressively notice that the environment around him in malformed, but he will meet some friends along the way. Will he find the sun?

{ Other skills }

During my time at SAE, I have had the opportunity to further myself in different aspects of my life. One of the skills I've been learning in my spare time is 3Ds Max; a 3D software which allows you to create models for games. Below is some examples of the work I have done for my upcoming game: Highlands.

 

The theme of Highlands is low poly, this was a great chance for me to experiment with primitives in 3DS Max and create something which would be used in the game, while still being simple.
